Classic Iron Maiden logo. In 1984, Iron Maiden made the trek out to Poland for a stop on their World Slavery Tour. With some extra time before their show, they went over to the disco next to their hotel for a quick drink. When they got to the club, a wedding was going on; the guest list was invite-only. However, a simple namedrop gave them free access to the party. They agreed to play a set, but since heavy metal and weddings don't mix, the band didn’t play any of their music. Instead, they played cover versions of popular rock songs.
